THE CULTURE KO. : MUMBAI’S LATEST ARTISANAL KOMBUCHA BRAND

Kombucha, an effervescent beverage fermented with SCOBY ( Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) and a sweet black tea base, is becoming increasingly popular in the wellness circles of  Mumbai. It contains a blend of probiotics, enzymes and healthy vitamins making it a true superfood!

Fermented foods and probiotic beverages, specifically Kombucha, is a rapidly growing segment all over the world in the health and wellness industry due its taste and health benefits. Gut health has usually been neglected by people, however with beverages like kombucha coming into the market, people can now sip their way to a healthy and happy gut! By consuming Kombucha regularly, one can change the flora of their gut bacteria with good healthy bacteria which leads to better immunity and digestion, prevention of bloating, higher energy levels and improved mental health!

And that brings us to The Culture Ko.; Mumbai’s latest artisanal handcrafted Kombucha brand, founded by passionate home brewer and entrepreneurial 21 year old, Anand Makhija.

Coming from a family completely dedicated to health and fitness, he first tried Kombucha on the advice of his nutritionist brother to solve his incessant bloating and indigestion issues, and fell in love with the drink and it’s health benefits. Soon after he started brewing his own Booch for friends and family. Anand started his company, The Culture Ko. which launched its own brand of kombucha, KoBu in early 2019. He is determined to positively impact the lives of people with some good ol’ bacteria.
